I did find I can highlight things in the model tree and they delete occasionally, more than clicking on them but still totally random and sometimes not at all.
I also noticed that sometimes when I hit DEL a lot with a part highlighted and I go to another app like Word and then go back to Inventor, that assembly will be locked, can't select anything, can't move it, can't pick the model tree, nothing, but models in other tabs are fine, then I can switch back to that tab and it's unlocked. I also shut down every application I had open except for Inventor and still won't delete. In the real assembly I cannot get DEL to delete anything no matter how much I press DEL and drag parts.Īnd before the keyboard comes into question the DEL key works perfectly in every other application without a single hiccup. Seems if I have a part selected and I just keep hitting DEL and then dragging the part around, after a while at some random time it will delete. So I selected a part and just kept hitting DEL and after a bunch of presses it disappeared. I started a new assembly, placed a bunch of random parts and DEL doesn't work in there either. Opened the same assembly that DEL was working in before I shut down Inventor and now DEL doesn't work again. So I shut down Inventor and restarted it. So I went back to the assembly I was working in a few minutes ago (was still open in my session) and selected a part, hit DEL and it disappeared. So I highlighted another part, hit DEL and then part disappeared and then it's working fine. Selected an item and hit DEL and nothing, hit it again and nothing, then the 3rd time I hit it the part disappeared.
All day today the delete key wasn't working but when you asked about making a video I started a new assembly and just threw a bunch of random parts in there. I could but since you can't see me hitting the DELete key it wouldn't do much.
